Final Call for Abstracts

Final Call for Abstracts

This is the last call for your chance to submit abstracts for papers to be presented at the 2015 ALIA National Library and Information Technicians’ Symposium, being held in Hobart, Tasmania, 2nd – 4th September 2015 with the theme Right here, right now – it’s a devil of a time in libraries.

What challenges are endangering library and information services? How are services evolving to thrive in the changing information ecosystem? What are the means of engaging – ‘wowing’ – your customers who ‘want it here – need it now’? Are you exploring what the future holds?

Please don’t miss this great professional development opportunity.

If you find the idea of presenting on your own daunting, consider the possibility of co-presenting with a colleague (or two). The stated sub-themes are only guidelines so please feel free to submit your own original take on our broad theme.

Also, as a presenter, you will be able to register for the Symposium at a discounted rate and enjoy a great venue and Tasmanian hospitality.

Further information, including topic suggestions and the application process, may be found here.

The final date for abstract submission is 27th February 2015. If your submission is successful you have until the 3rd July 2015 to provide us with your complete paper.

If, after reading the information contained within the Call for Abstracts document, you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to email the organising committee at alialibtech2015@gmail.com with the subject line “Att: Program Committee”.
